New Windows Phone Xbox LIVE Games Shown at NY Comic-Con

At Comic-Con in New York this passed weekend, the Xbox exhibit was extremely popular. There was a 2 hour line if you wanted to try out Mass Effect 3, but while you were waiting in line an Xbox LIVE for Windows Phone representative might have come by and let you play a few new mobile games on his phone while you waited. These were unreleased Windows Phone Xbox games too. I thought that was a great idea, since these are clearly hardcore Xbox fans and getting to play with Xbox phone games while waiting in line is sure to be a fun way to help pass the time. Check out the video below to see these five new Xbox LIVE Windows Phone games that are coming soon. You’ve got “Chickens Can’t Fly”, which actually includes some special Windows Phone 7.5 features including unlock-able ringtones and the ability to pin certain sections to your start screen. You’ve also got ORBITAL, which is a puzzle game where you have to keep oribitals from getting too large and too close to your home base. This game offers a 2 player mode, but both people have to be using the same phone at the same time. It’s not a wireless 2 player game. Next there’s Kinectimals for Windows Phone, which is similar to the Kinectimals game you’ll find on Xbox Kinect. The phone game has a few special features though. For example, there are 6 new cats that you can play with on the phone, and you can transfer your trained animals between the phone and the Xbox using QR code scanning. How to Advertise Locally For Small Businesses

mobile local news

Small business advertising doesn’t have to be difficult. Check out these 3 ways to get your company’s name out there:

1. Print – The traditional forms of advertising, including print (phone books, newspapers, and magazines) are still viable options. Think of your audience and where they are likely to be reached. The older generation are probably used to more traditional forms of media, like newspapers, magazines, etc., while the younger crowd is more technology driven using methods like the internet, mobile advertising, video marketing, and online forums.

2. Direct mail – With the advent of the internet, a lot of small business owners have forgotten about a simple direct mail campaign like postcards, letters, etc. Taken in to account with how many emails individuals receive daily, a direct mail postcard campaign can be effective if used correctly.

I would recommend marketing to your current customer base first, and the scaling to a more advanced campaign down the road. Think about it, a customer that has purchased from you is your best customer to target… the average customer will buy 2.3 times from you. Start with targeted direct mail campaigns first to your local customers, specifically ones that have bought before.

Google Keyword Tool For Local Mobile Marketing

The 13th video in the series is: Google Keyword Tool. Let’s go to Google search and type in “keyword tool”. The top result is “keyword tool Google Adwords…” and the end of the link includes the word “external”. Clicking on this link takes us to the keyword tool.

I recently helped a friend who teaches golf lessons. Let’s first check how many people are searching on the word “golf”. It turns out the word “golf” is searched over 55 million times each month. Clicking on the tabs at the top of each column sorts the results in ascending or descending order. By clicking on the tab at the top of the Global monthly search column, we see the most popular search terms that include the word “golf”.
